Segment 1     Famous Quotations

“I’ve seen hatred and I have seen love.  And love is more powerful.”  ~ Immaculee Ilibagiza

“Everything you can imagine is real.” ~ Pablo Picasso

Segment 2    Left to Tell: Discovering God Amidst the Rwandan Holocaust

This weekend we were privileged to hear Immaculee Ilibagiza speak.  She was invited to speak at the Christian Scholar’s Conference, held at David Lipscomb University and to share the details of the horrific 1994 Rwandan Holocaust and her personal story of survival and journey of forgiveness.

In her memoir, Left to Tell: Discovering God Admidst the Rwandan Holocaust, Immaculee shares how in just over 90 days, 1 million people were brutally slaughtered in her country and the death count included her mother, father, 2 brothers, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and neighbors.

She outlines in brutal honesty how she felt abandoned by God for a time and how she wanted revenge on those who had committed these heinous crimes.

But as she said this weekend: “I have seen hatred and I have seen love.  And love is more powerful.”

With God’s help, Immaculee truly came to know the complete understanding to the word: Forgiveness.

Join us today as we share this woman’s incredible story.

Our question this week is: Is there something or someone between you and inner peace? Forgiveness makes us healthy and whole. It brings peace.”

Until next week, Peace!

Ladies this was wonderful and inspiring show. It is so true that our issues are usually minor to what some people are dealing with. I listened to your podcast right before my sons speech therapy appointment and as I waited in the lobby I realize how blessed we are. Some people have much bigger challenges. I hope I will keep this in mind always!

Hi Connie and Sheila. Thank you so much for you show today. What a gift. I never know how someone’s life can affect mine. I never would have been inspired to read this book had you not made it known on your show and talked about how it effected you both. Thank you for opening my mind and my heart and my faith today. It’s such a gift to help another human being. Your comments are always so inspiring and helpful.
