Segment 2 Screenplay for Your Life- Here’s What Our 2012 Will Look Like!
It’s great to be back with a new episode and to celebrate a new year with each of you! We’re excited about 2012 and we have much to convey.
3 weeks ago, we were honored to have Dan Miller (48 Days.net) on our show and he mentioned the book: A Million Miles In A Thousand Years, by Donald Miller. The book has a very interesting concept: Treat your life as if it were a screenplay. Write it down as if you were going to “pitch” it to Hollywood.
Would anyone be interested?
We love this concept and have always written our goals down for the year, but today, we share, in detail, how our last 7 to 10 days of 2011 played out and we reveal our business goals for 2012!
Segment 3 Heart Topic: Seize the Year…If You Dare!
Stone Temple Pilots have a song titled: “Dare If You Dare” and the lyrics are absolutely full of power:
“Dare, dare if you dare
Dare to be something
Dare to be real
Dare, dare to be more
Hope for the better
Dare to believe
It’s hard to make amends
When you’re sitting there on the fence.”
In these few words, there’s a lot of meaning. We must DARE to DREAM if we are to SUCCEED. We cannot allow our fears to over-write our life. We are the screenwriter of our life. Fear is not!
If we say “YES” to our dreams, we then DARE ourselves to reach for opportunity and success!
Oprah Winfrey once said: “Devote today to something so daring, even you can’t believe you’re doing it.”
Donald Miller, in his book: Through Painted Deserts, wrote: “No, life cannot be understood flat on a page. It has to be lived; a person has to get out of his head, has to fall in love, has to memorize poems, has to jump off bridges into rivers, has to stand in an empty desert and whisper sonnets under his breath… We get one story, you and I, and one story alone. God has established the elements, the setting and the climax and resolution. It would be a crime not to venture out, wouldn’t it?”
Our question this week is: Why do we wait so long to get started? Let’s make this year the best year yet!
